AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D was the #1 Bestseller for the 13th Month, 13x Higher Sales than Intel’s 14700K in Germany

AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D continues to rule the DIY CPU market, retaining the top spot for the thirteenth consecutive month. The 3D V-Cache chip leads the sales charts at Mindfactory (Germany), Digitec (Switzerland), Amazon (US), Newegg (US), and Microcenter (US). The 7800X3D sold 1060 units at Germany’s largest hardware retailer, followed by the 5800X3D and 7500F with 340 and 300 units, respectively.

The Core i7-14700K was the most popular Intel chip at the store with just under 100 units sold through the week. The Core i9-14900K held the second spot, selling a paltry 60 units. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D and Ryzen 5 7600X are among the bestsellers at Amazon and Newegg, followed by Intel’s Core i7-14700K and i9-14900K.

Microcenter’s charts are a little different. While the 7800X3D does hold the top spot, it is followed by the Core i9-12900K, Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and the 7700X at #2, #3, and #4, respectively. None of the 14th Gen chips feature in the top five.

With AMD prepping the launch of the Zen 5-based Ryzen 9000 processors later this year, it’ll be interesting to see how the newcomers compare to existing V-Cache parts. Seeing how they offer a generational uplift over Zen 4, we likely won’t have to wait long for the next generation of X3D chips.
