Seagate’s 24 TB SkyHawk AI HDDs Support 64 HD Cameras and 32 AI Streams with 0 Frame Loss

Seagate has launched the 24 TB variant of its SkyHawk AI drives, offering transfer rates of up to 285MB/s while spinning at 7,200 RPM. These HDDs consist of ten 2.4 TB platters, making it the densest drive Seagate has ever made. The drive cache comes in at 512MB, the same for all variants. The SkyHawk AI HDD can support up to 64 HD cameras and 32 AI channels amounting to 120 AI real-time capture events per second and 96 compare events per second.

The SkyHawk AI 24 TB can hold over 10,000 hours of video recording, delivering zero dropped frames thanks to ImagePerfect AI firmware. It actively protects video storage by focusing on prevention, intervention, and recovery options. It also supports video analysis and recording simultaneously with GPU analytics workloads.

The SkyHawk AI HDDs come with built-in rotational vibration sensors that deliver reliable storage for NVR with minimal lag or downtime. Unlimited multi-bay support ensures ample scalability to match your increasing storage needs.

The SkyHawk AI 24 TB is slated to ship this month with an MSRP of $599.99. Seagate offers a five-year limited warranty and a three-year data recovery service with the drive.
