Helldivers 2 is now playable on Steam Deck thanks to an update by Valve. It was a Proton Hotfix of 276.3 MB.
Here are our recommended settings for a smooth gameplay.
Keep in mind that the game doesn’t look as bad as depicted in the screenshot above. Compression things. The target with these settings is 45 FPS as we don’t like shooters at 30 FPS. We played the training and the first mission after the tutorial. There a few dips to 40 when things get hectic but it’s definitely playable. It doesn’t look the best but it does the job for a handheld.
