AMD RDNA GPU on Samsung Exynos 2200 Reportedly Codenamed “Voyager” to be Fabbed on 4nm Process

According to @iceuniverse, a well-reputed source on Samsung SoCs and smartphones, the company’s upcoming Exynos 2200 processor will be codenamed “Pamir” and fabbed on the foundry’s 4nm process node. Furthermore, the accompanying RDNA graphics processor licensed from AMD will be codenamed “Voyager”.

There have been numerous leaks about the mobile chip over the past few months, but most of them were either partial or lacked any info regarding the power draw of the SoC. The Exynos 2200 managed to beat both the Snapdragon 895 as well as the Apple A14 in benchmarks, but the lack of TDP info made the figures rather meaningless.

In addition to this, the Wildlife score shared earlier by the same source was a bit off as it was too low for the FPS yielded by the GPU. There have been whispers that the power draw and heat dissipation of the SoC is too high, and Samsung is in the process of finding a balance between power and performance. The Exynos 2200 was supposed to be launched this month, but with half of it already done and dusted with, the chances of a reveal fade with each passing day.
