NVIDIA’s RTX 3090 Ti FE Drops to $1,599, $400 Off MSRP, Third Party Models at RTX 3090 Prices ($1,499)

NVIDIA’s fastest Ampere GPU, the RTX 3090 Ti has dropped sharply in pricing. Still going some $700 over the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT and a few hundred more than the RTX 3080 Ti, this monster graphics card features the full-fledged GA102 die: 10,752 FP32 cores paired with 24GB of 21Gbps memory across a 384-bit bus. Initially launched at an MSRP of $1,999, nearly all board partners have lowered prices to $1,499.

The Founders Edition variant which rarely gets discounted has dropped by $400 to $1,599. Meanwhile, AIB cards are mostly going for just $1,499 which is the same as the MSRP of the RTX 3090. To be honest, this should have been the retail price from the very beginning but you know, miners:

As the launch of the next-gen RTX 40 series cards approaches, most retail channels are emptying their inventory, although we’re yet to see the RTX 3080, 3070 Ti, and the 3070 drop below their MSRPs. Pretty much all of AMD’s Radeon RX 6000 are going well under their sticker prices, including the RX 6900 XT which can now be had for as low as $799.
