NVIDIA RTX 4070 vs. 4070 Ti 1440p Benchmarks

At 1440p, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti expands its dominance. It is 23% and 27% faster than the 4070 in “A Plague Tale” and “Cyberpunk 2077.”

In Requiem, the RTX 4070 Ti averages 77 FPS, while the 4070 is limited to 63 FPS.

Cyberpunk 2077 runs at 130 FPS on the Ti, while the 4070 manages an average of 116 FPS.

Dying Light 2 is 42% faster on the RTX 4070 Ti than the 4070, with an average of 142 FPS versus 97.5 FPS on the latter. At 1440p, the RTX 4070 Ti can distinguish itself in F1 2022 with a slim lead of 14% over the 4070.

In the racing game, the RTX 4070 averages 196.5 FPS, preceded by the 4070 Ti with 225 FPS.

Ghostwire: Tokyo runs considerably smoother on the RTX 4070 Ti. It holds a lead of 31% over the RTX 4070, although the lows aren’t far apart. Conversely, with similar lows, Hitman 3 is only 10% faster on the RTX 4070 Ti.

In Ghostwire, the RTX 4070 posts 144.4 FPS, led by the 4070 Ti with its 189 FPS average.

Hitman 3 doesn’t distinguish between the two GPUs, with averages of 161.6 FPS and 177.5 FPS.

Hogwarts Legacy averages 114.4 FPS on the RTX 4070 Ti, up from 94 FPS on the 4070. The 1% low average sees a difference of nearly 20 FPS in this game. Shadow of the Tomb Raider scales quite well on the Ti, attaining a lead of 31% over the 4070.

In the final Tomb Raider title, the RTX 4070 averages 163 FPS while the 4070 Ti scales it up to 213 FPS.

The Callisto Protocol maintains a flimsy lead between the RTX 4070 and 4070 Ti. The former nets 100.7 FPS, while the latter is stuck at 108 FPS. Meanwhile, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is 37% faster on the RTX 4070 Ti with 1% lows of 129 FPS (versus 95 FPS).

The RTX 4070 produces an average of 111.5 FPS, notably lower than the 152 FPS on the 4070 Ti.

At 1440p, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is 20-30% faster than the 4070, somewhat justifying the $200 price markup. It consistently delivers higher averages and lows, staying above 100 FPS in nearly every game at the ultra quality preset.
