The core clock speeds of the NVIDIA RTX 4070 have been shared by a well-reputed. The midrange Lovelace GPU, likely to be the most popular of this generation, will have a base clock of 2.3GHz and a boost of 2.6GHz. The effective in-game core frequency will exceed 2.8GHz, a gain of roughly 1GHz over the RTX 3070. Keep in mind that we’re comparing two SKUs leveraging completely different process nodes (SS 8nm LPP vs TSMC N4) and microarchitecture but it’s a remarkable figure nonetheless.

According to @kopite7kimi, the total board power (TBP) has been reduced from 300W to 285W, exactly 65W more than its predecessor. The GeForce RTX 4070 will feature the fully enabled AD104 die with 7,680 cores across 60 SMs paired with 12GB of GDDR6X memory via a 160-bit bus. The L2 cache will be buffed up to 48MB, much like AMD’s own Infinity Cache. It should still cost between $499 and $549 with a holiday season or CES 2023 launch.
