NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti Drops to $379 Just Weeks After Launch

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060 Ti launched to a poor reception from the press and critics. The 8GB VRAM buffer and mediocre generational uplift were widely criticized, much like the RTX 4070. At a $399 price tag, it offers a modest 15% boost over the RTX 3060 Ti, which currently costs $354.99. Sure, DLSS 3 is a big plus, but for competitive and eSports titles, it’s not something most gamers will consider.

BHPhotoVideo has discounted the MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Ventus 2x OC 8GB to $379, down from its sticker price of $399. It is currently one of the bestsellers at the retailer, priced just $24 higher than the RTX 3060 Ti.

The MSI Gaming RTX 4060 Ti Ventus 2X Black 8GB OC is also priced at $379 at Amazon, a 5% discount off its typical MSRP of $399. This is the lowest price it has ever sold for in the last 30 days, and like at BHPhoto, it is a #1 bestseller among new releases.

The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti leverages the AD106 GPU. It features 4,352 shaders across 34 SMs with 136 TMUs, 48 ROPs, 136 Tensor Cores, and 34 RT Cores. The GPU is paired with 8GB of GDDR6 18Gbps memory across a 128-bit bus for an external bandwidth of 288GB/s. The graphics core has a base clock of 2,310MHz and a boost of 2,525MHz with a maximum TBP of 160W. Like the other Lovelace GPUs, it leverages a 16-pin power connector.

The RTX 4060 is slated to launch on the 30th of June, followed by the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB next month.
