NVIDIA RTX 3090 Ti Discounted by $461, RTX 3090 by $50, AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT by $280 on Newegg

Panicked miners aren’t the only ones selling gaming GPUs under the official MSRPs. Newegg, a leading retailer of computer parts has also kickstarted a sale on graphics cards, motherboards, and other related hardware, offering brand new SKUs well under the MSRP for the first time. The highlight of this Bonanza Sale is the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti which is discounted by an unbelievable $461 to $1,539. Granted, this is what the MSRP should have been, to begin with, but hey, no one’s been playing fair lately.

The GeForce RTX 3090 has a measly discount of $50, bringing its price down to $1449. On the Radeon side, the RX 6900 XT has the loftiest discount. The price has been slashed from $999 to $719, pretty much bringing it on par with the sticker price of the RX 6800 XT. The recently released RX 6×50 XTs haven’t received any price cuts.

Unfortunately, the rest of the sale is largely bogus. Most of the GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards are still priced a bit over the MSRP on Newegg, even after the “discounts” are applied. I reckon it’ll take a bit of encouragement from the reseller market to bring the prices firmly down to MSRP for good.
