Intel’s Arc Alchemist GPUs Suffer From Poor Utilization in Games: Forza Horizon, PUBG, COD Unplayable

The first reviews of Intel’s Arc mobile GPUs are out. Although the overall averages aren’t bad, the frame times hide the ugly details. Popular eSports titles like League of Legends and Overwatch manage healthy averages of 70 and 100 FPS, respectively at 1080p low. However, PUBG suffers from heavy stuttering as a result of low GPU utilization. The device usage hovers between 39 and 70% during the benchmark indicating severe optimization issues.

More demanding games like Forza Horizon 5 and Call of Duty: Cold War are a stutter fest with single-digit lows and sub-30 FPS averages. Moreover, there are also graphics artifacts and glitches in multiple titles which makes it clear that Intel won’t be doing much in the consumer GPU market anytime soon.
