Intel Core i9-15900K Arrow Lake-S, Lunar Lake-MX & Arc Battlemage G10/G21 Spotted

Engineering samples of Intel’s 15th Gen Core i9-15900K have been spotted. The Arrow Lake-S desktop processor (Core Ultra 9 290K) will lead the fight against AMD’s next-gen Ryzen 9000 family. Leveraging a mix of “Lion Cove” P and “Skymont” E-cores, the 15900K will succeed the 14th Gen “Raptor Lake” flagship. Contrary to initial reports, the CPU tile will be fabbed on TSMC’s 3nm (N3B?) node with a 4nm (N4) iGPU tile. Only a few lower-end SKUs will feature the Intel 20A process for the compute die.

The leaked Arrow Lake-S processor incorporates 8 P-cores and 16 E-cores, backed by 36MB of L3 cache (identical to the 14900K/13900K). The cores have a base clock of 2.3GHz which will increase as the launch window approaches. The boost clocks should come in at around 5GHz to 6GHz.

The Arrow Lake-S family will launch in the last quarter of 2024 alongside the next-gen LGA1851 socket, paired with 800-series chipsets. Launch availability is expected to be spotty with only the K-series variants landing this year.

The memo also mentions Lunar Lake featuring a BGA socket with 32GB of memory. These engineering samples were shipped for R&D purposes, indicating an early stepping. Lunar Lake-MX/M will power high-end ultrabooks and convertibles. It’ll use the core architectures as Arrow Lake but will be fabbed on the Intel 18A process (compute tile).

The 2nd Gen Arc Battlemage G21 graphics cards are also mentioned in the documents. These are pre-qualification units of G10 and G21 SI (system integrator?) cards, possibly set to launch later this year.
