Intel Core i9-13900K Overclocked to 9GHz on the ASUS ROG Z790 Maximus Apex

Intel’s 13th Gen Raptor Lake flagship has been overclocked to an incredible 9GHz on the ROG Z790 Maximus Apex. ASUS’s overclocking team performed the feat, breaking the record for the highest-clocked consumer processor. The Core i9-13900K registered an impressive 6.85 seconds in Pifast and 3 minutes 3 seconds in Superpi 32M, making it the fastest in both benchmarks.

The ROG Maximus Z790 Apex features a 24-phase teamed power solution with DDR5-8000 memory support, 2x PCIe Gen 5 slots for dGPUs, and 5x M.2 Gen 5/4 slots. The board is priced at a steep $999 on Amazon and $700 on Newegg (out-of-stock at the moment).
