Intel Arc A380 Desktop Graphics Card Leaks Out: Up to 100 FPS at 1080p in Popular eSports Games

The Intel Arc A380 desktop graphics card has been spotted for the first time along with the specs and official gaming performance. MSI listed a gaming PC in China featuring the Core i5-12400F and the Arc A380 but it was taken down promptly. The board partners confirmed that the GPU features 6GB of GDDR6 memory paired with a paltry 96-bit bus along with 8 Xe cores or 1,024 shaders.

Furthermore, MSI seems to be prepping a factory overclocked variant of the A380. Unfortunately, no info regarding the core clocks was posted. Gaming performance figures of four popular eSports were included. At 1080p using the Medium and Low quality presets PUBG scores 94 FPS. Overwatch with 100 FPS, League of Legends with about 200 FPS, and “Eternal Catastrophe” nets 85 FPS.

As already reported, the first wave of Arc desktop GPUs will be exclusive to the Chinese market and that too via the OEM/SE segments. Considering the massively growing eSports market in the region, it makes sense that Intel would target East Asia as the launch pad for its budget and mid-range graphics cards.

It’s likely that much of the supply will directly go to eSports cafes and hubs which are used to buying GPUs in bulk. These establishments usually run a handful of games and are willing to overlook certain issues (buggy drivers) for wholesale discounts and rebates.
