Looking at the schedule, it looks like Intel will launch both the Raptor Lake client processors as well as the much-delayed Sapphire Rapids-SP lineup. Both these families will focus on increased compute density and multi-threaded performance featuring up to 24 and 60 cores, respectively. The client platform will double the efficiency core count to 16 (from 8) while also doubling the L2 cache per core. The server platform will introduce a chiplet architecture with four 20-core tiles and next-gen I/O technologies like PCIe Gen 5, DDR5, and CXL 1.1.
