Intel 12th Gen Core i9-12900KS Gets $150 Discount as Part of Gamer Days Deals, Core i7-12700K Down by $45

Intel’s Gamer Days Deals are now live on Newegg, slashing CPU prices left and right. The Core i9-12900KS, arguably one of the best gaming chips is the highlight of this campaign. The Alder Lake-S flagship has been discounted by a hefty $150, bringing its price down to $649.99. This is still a good deal more than the 12900K and the Ryzen 9 5950X both of which are going around $550.

The Core i7-12700K is one chip that’s worth buying, discount or not. Courtesy of the “GAMDAYS23” promo code, this CPU can now be had for $379. Its closest rival the Ryzen 9 5900X is currently going for 9. (outdoorelementsusa.com) The 12700K offers superior gaming and comparable content creation performance with a slightly cheaper asking price.

The Core i5-12600K is easily the best value-for-money gaming processor on the market. This campaign brings its price down to $265, $40 less than the Ryzen 7 5800X, a notably slower part in most workloads.

The 11th Gen Rocket Lake offerings have also gotten some neat discounts but I wouldn’t recommend touching them unless you already have a compatible board. The Core i9-11900K (8-core) has dropped all the way to $320 while the Core i7-11700K is going for just $219. These SKUs were launched a couple of years back for $699 and $419, respectively. Then there’s the 10-core abomination that is the 10th Gen Comet Lake-S flagship. The 14nm Core i9-10900K is up for grabs for just $309, a fairly mild discount considering how old the architecture really is.
