Mining rigs, most notably ASICs have been in high demand as of late. Multiple OEMs previously exclusive to the PC market have been investing in this lucrative segment. Biostar is one such vendor. It launched an AMD Radeon RX 580 (x8) powered rig a while back, much to the dissatisfaction of gamers. Now, the company has followed it up with another Radeon design. Biostar’s iMiner 660MX8D2 features:
- Intel’s Celeron G4900 dual-core CPU.
- 8 GB of DDR4 RAM @ 2666 MHz.
- 128 GB of SATAIII SSD storage.
- AMD Radeon RX 6600 x8 GPUs.
- 2000W PSU
The Biostar iMiner 660MX8D2 has a hash rate of 248 MH/s, a meager gain of 7% over the prior x8 Radeon RX 580 rig. It is aimed at mining popular cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum Classic, Ravecoin, Ergo, etc.
