AMD to Launch the Radeon RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT on 27th August

AMD’s Navi 32 offerings are all set for launch next during the chipmaker’s Gamescom event. AMD Scott Herkelman asked fans to brace themselves for the next major Radeon release to build the hype. Following the PowerColor Radeon RX 7800 XT leak, this is all but a confirmation of the impending release. Team Red is expected to release two SKUs based on the Navi 32 core, including the RX 7700 XT and the RX 7800.

Per the PowerColor leak, the RX 7800 XT will leverage the Navi 32 GPU with 3,840 shaders spread across 60 Compute Units (CUs). The shaders will run at 2.56GHz in OC mode with a standard peak of 2.5GHz. That’s roughly the same as the Navi 31-based Radeon RX 7900 designs. On the memory side, we’re looking at 16GB of GDDR6 clocked at 18Gbps paired with a 256-bit bus and 64MB of L3 Cache.

The Radeon RX 7700 XT/7800 will feature a cut-down Navi 32 die with somewhere between 2,560 to 3,072 shaders with 12GB of GDDR6 memory. The memory bus will be reduced to 192-bit with an L3 Cache of ~48MB. Expect a price of $549 for the RX 7800 XT and $349 for the 7700 XT.
