Following the steep price drops on NVIDIA’s higher-end Ampere cards, AMD’s RDNA 3 flagship has joined in on the fun. The Radeon RX 6900 XT has dropped to its lowest ever market price of $699, a fat discount of 30% or $300 off its launch price of $999. Its GeForce rival, the RTX 3090 has also been discounted to $1,049, leaving a delta of $349 between the two.

The Radeon RX 6900 XT features 5,120 shaders paired with 16GB of GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit and 128MB of L3 (Infinity Cache). The GPU has a base clock of 2GHz, a game clock of 2,285MHz, and a peak boost of 2,285MHz.

AMD’s next-gen Radeon RX 7900 XT is slated to launch in the final quarter of this year with a core count of 12,288, bus width of 384-bit, and 384MB of L3 cache. It will feature a core GPU die and six individual memory complex dies packing the cache and memory controllers. Performance is expected to roughly double gen-over-gen with roughly the same power consumption.
