AMD FSR 2.0 Coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator, Farming Simulator 22, EVE Online, Deathloop on 12th May

The next iteration of AMD’s upscaling algorithm FSR 2.0 is about to land starting with Arkane’s Deathloop later this week. Leveraging a temporal upsampler like DLSS and TSR, it offers a substantial quality upgrade over FSR 1.0’s spatial upscaler. From official image quality samples, we know that FSR 2.0 is very competitive against NVIDIA’s DLSS.

Other games to receive the update in the future include Asterigos, Delysium, EVE Online, Farming Simulator 22, Forspoken, Grounded, Microsoft Flight Simulator, NiShuiHan, Perfect World Remake, Swordsman Remake, and Unknown 9: Awakening.

In addition to the memory and clock upgrade, the Infinity Cache frequency has also been increased which pushes the effective bandwidth of the Radeon RX 6950 XT to 1,793 GB/s. FSR 2.0 will debut will with Deathloop with later today. According to AMD, it will take developers just 3 days to implement FSR 2.0 in titles with motion vectors and temporal anti-aliasing.
