AMD Graphics Driver Boosts Performance by up to 16% in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

AMD has released a graphics driver for its Radeon GPUs, adding support for Daedalic’s “The Lord of the Rings: Gollum”. The Radeon Software Adrenalin 23.5.1 driver improves the performance of both RX 6000 and RX 7900 series graphics cards in the said title. In addition to game optimizations, many bug fixes have also been rolled out.

The Adrenalin 23.5.1 driver improves the performance of the Radeon RX 7900 series GPUs by up to 16% in “The Lord of the Rings: Gollum“. The RX 6000 series GPUs are also up to 12% faster in the game than the previous driver software.

The memory usage in “The Last of Us” has been improved. Previously, the game used much higher VRAM during shader compilation when launching the game for the first time. The system crashes on older Radeon SKUs when playing Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II have also been resolved.
