NVIDIA’s midrange Ada Lovelace GPU, the RTX 4060 Ti, will hit the retail market in the fourth week of May. Alongside the RTX 4060, it’ll be the most produced GPU of this generation. The 60-class graphics cards tend to be the most popular among PC gamers, making up over 30% of the retail GPU market share. At the time of writing, four out of the five most popular GPUs on Steam are 60-class GPUs, including the RTX 3060, 2060, and GTX 1060.
To make way for the new 60-class GPUs, NVIDIA has notified its partners that it won’t be restocking the RTX 3060 Ti inventory once the channel runs dry. Considering the level of retail inventory, it’ll be safe to assume that the card will remain available for at least another quarter across most markets.
In October 2023, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti was silently upgraded to faster GDDRX6 memory, increasing its memory clocks from 14Gbps to 19Gbps. This resulted in a healthy uplift of its external memory bandwidth, pushing it from 448GB/s to 608GB/s.
