Intel’s Xe-HPG “Alchemist” graphics cards are slated to launch in the first half of 2021 with an aim to end NVIDIA’s (and AMD’s) dominance in the consumer GPU market. The chipmaker is planning to launch multiple budget and midrange SKUs in both the desktop and mobile markets. (Sildenafil) According to MLID, the entry-level SKU with 128 EUs or 1,024 shaders will land in late Feb/early March with 6GB of 16Gbps GDDR6 memory. Then desktop variant will be paired with a 96-bit bus and the mobile variant will be paired with a 64-bit bus.
This budget Xe graphics card will perform similar to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Super, possibly even beating it. It’ll have a TDP of 75-100W and a price tag of $179. The boost clock will vary from 2.2-2.5GHz, depending on the exact variant. The notebook models are slated to arrive in late Feb/early March, followed by the desktop SKUs in April/May.
The top-end 512EU part, on the other hand, is expected to feature 12GB+ of GDDR6 memory and a 256-bit bus, resulting in a bandwidth of over 500GB/s. The boost clocks are going to be similar to the 128EU SKU, ranging from 2.1GHz-2.4GHz. According to @Raichu, this GPU will be quite the performer, possibly even eclipsing AMD’s top-end RDNA 2 mobile flagship. The Radeon RX 6800M features 40CUs across 2,560 shaders paired with 12Gb of GDDR6 memory via a 192-bit bus. It packs 96MB of Infinity Cache and a boost clock of over 2.3GHz.
