14th Gen Intel Core i9-14900K up to 9% Faster than the 13900K in Cinebench 2024

Intel’s 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh is slated to land later this month in a repackaged factor with higher core clocks and everything else being identical. With the release of Cinebench R24 or 2024, we get to test the performance of Intel’s latest processors in the newest content creation benchmark. Luckily for us, someone at Chiphell was able to test a pre-release sample in both the single and multi-threaded benchmarks.

The 14th Gen Core i9-14900K scores 2,161 points in the multi-core benchmark and 128 points in the single-threaded test. We tested our own Core i9-13900KF in the same test and got 2,017 and 130 points, respectively. This indicates that the single-threaded performance of Intel’s next-gen chips will be roughly the same as existing 13th Gen parts. However, voltage, power, and clock enhancements will deliver a nominal boost to multi-threaded performance, which shouldn’t matter to most consumers.
