XPG has launched its third PCIe 4.0 SSD in the form of the Gammix S70 paired with its proprietary CoolArmor heatsink. The new SSD boasts read speeds of up to 7,400MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,400MB/s (sequential). XPG had already launched two Gen 4 SSDs before the S70, namely the Gammix S50 and S50 Lite.

I have to say, this generation the mainstream SSD vendors have really upped the competition. With Sabrent’s latest offerings boasting R/W speeds of up to 7GB/s and XMG coming in at 7,400MB/s (sequential), Samsung’s 980 PRO is looking kind of pale with top read/write speeds of just 6,500MB per sec/5,000MB per sec.
