The Best Laptops for Netflix Binges

In 2022, Netflix has more than 220 million subscribers. The streaming leviathan is a household name worldwide, and America is no exception. In the US, a whopping 22 percent of people have accounts, with two-thirds sharing these with friends and family members. That means an incredible number of us while away our weekends and free time binging on our favorite shows.

We don’t want to be confined to watching these on our TV screens either. Many of us embrace the flexibility of streaming on the go and from any location, whether during our daily commute or tucked up in bed on an evening.

A laptop can come in handy when we don’t want to do this on a phone screen. But which models are the best for Netflix binging?

The Lenovo Legion 5

In the past year, Stranger Things has broken numerous streaming records. It hogged the top spot for eight incredible weeks upon the release of its fourth season, making it the most-watched English language show of all time. For those who haven’t seen it yet, the Lenovo Legion 5 is the laptop you want to do it on.

That’s because this gaming laptop has lots to recommend, including the display’s G-sync capabilities. In addition, it’s great for traveling, making it well-suited to watching shows on the go. Weighing around five pounds and measuring 21.2 x 13.5 x 3.5 inches, it’s slim without being razor-blade thin. It’s also a powerful machine that can stand up to having multiple tabs open at once, even with some of those playing 1,080HD videos.

Asus Rog Strix Scar

Another great option is the Strix Scar. Looking like a bog-standard notebook, it nonetheless ticks lots of boxes for the avid binger. Created with gaming and streaming in mind, it’s been specially designed to enable 4k/1,080p movie watching.

Like the Lenovo, the Strix Star is highly portable. Weighing a mere 2.6kg, it’s lightweight enough to carry around in a backpack and has a robust design to protect it from damage. Your favorite films and TV shows will also look great when played on it, thanks to its high-caliber colors, brightness, and contrast. You can even personalize the keyboard backlighting to cater to your aesthetic, and there’s a great cooling system to stop it from struggling.

LG Gram

The LG Gram might be the best option for you if you want something super easy to carry around. Thin and lightweight, it has a 17-inch screen to create a great viewing experience. Its looks are deceptive, and when you pick it up, you’ll be surprised to discover it doesn’t have any real heft behind it.

Another big upside is the runtime, which means you won’t always need a place to plug in your laptop while watching on the go. Typically lasting for over nine hours, it’s enough to last for the longest commute.

Tell us, which of these laptops sounds like the best binging option for you?
