Sapphire Toxic Radeon RX 6900 XT Extreme Edition Launched for nearly €3,000 w/ TDP of 430W

Sapphire’s recently announced Toxic Radeon RX 6900 XT Extreme Edition has been spotted in retail stores with a price tag of nearly €3,000. Unsurprisingly, the prices vary from region to region, with Spain reporting a price tag of €2,599 and German stores selling it for €3,248. That’s more than 3x more than the retail price of the reference variant of the Radeon RX 6900 XT.

The Sapphire Toxic Radeon RX 6900 XT Extreme Edition comes with a 360mm liquid cooler, a fancy RGB heatsink, and a metal backplate, plus a single fan to cool the VRAM/VRM chips. Considering that there are multiple water blocks for the RX 6800/6900 series now available for decent prices, you can build a similar solution for under $1,500 (if you can get hold of a reference model that is).

The Sapphire Toxic Radeon RX 6900 XT Extreme Edition has a turbo boost frequency of 2,730 MHz, a massive increase over the stock variant’s 2,250MHz. Furthermore, it comes with a power draw of up to 430W, indicating a highly binned ship. Some believe that this GPU will boast the Navi 21 XTX die which was reportedly a special variant of the Navi 21 die for advanced overclockers and AIO cooling.
