Romanian Retailer Lists AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS Laptop with 4.4GHz Boost Clock

Another has listed a Ryzen 9 mobile part. This time its ASUS’ ROG Zephyrus laptop that features the AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS. The HS series features a lower TDP than the regular H lineup and is exclusive to ASUS laptops. As already explained in the case of the 4900U post that we covered earlier, the 4900HS is also an 8 core/16 thread part with a boost clock of up to 4.4GHz. Keep in mind that this is the maximum possible single clock boost and there’s no guarantee that the processor will actually attain it.

The ROG Zephyrus G14 in addition to the Ryzen 9 4900HS features the NVIDIA RTX 2060 Max-Q 6GB, 16GB of DDR4 memory and 1TB NVMe SSD storage. This is a 14″ gaming laptop with a QHD 60Hz IPS display. Here’s an overview of the Ryzen 4000H series APUs:

The top-end Ryzen 9 4900HS powered laptops ought to sell for around $1,500-$1,700. That is still way cheaper than Intel’s top-end Core i7 and i9 powered gaming notebooks that go for as much as $2,000.
