RDR 2 DLSS Update Boosts Performance Substantially

The much-awaited Red Dead Redemption 2 Nvidia DLSS update is finally here. Nvidia says that we can expect some significant performance boosts across the board with all RTX cards as they used the words “all GeForce RTX gamers.” However, some cards like the RTX 2060 still struggled to keep up with 60fps at 1080p with settings amped up to ultra.

However, for the 30 series cards, Nvidia gives us a few examples of what to expect with them, especially at higher resolutions like at 1440p with the RTX 3060Ti it should be able to play at more than 60fps at ultra-settings preset and at 4k using a card like 3070 or higher-performing card you should be able to achieve 60 frames per second with settings up at ultra, of course, this will be possible with the patch installed after which you can find a DLSS toggle in the settings menu.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was first released for PC back in 2019, but even today, with the newer 30 series cards are out, the game still tests its paces, and players may have to tweak the settings a bit to get higher frame rates, but with the new DLSS patch coming out for the game that problem will hopefully be solved.

This news is more exciting for people still on their 20 series cards as they can also then enjoy some respectable framerates without fiddling with the settings too much and have a better experience playing the game. The game is with first- and third-person shooter perspectives and is an open-world game to explore and roam around freely while interacting with the open-world gameplay elements for which having DLSS is going to give the game a fresh feeling, especially with Nvidia’s higher-end hardware this game at 4k resolution is going to be an extraordinary experience.

DLSS mean Deep Learning Super Sampling, which is the use of Artificial intelligence to dynamically upscale image quality and framerates without compromising on either because usually, if you want to play at higher resolution with better picture quality, it is logical that framerates will drop but having DLSS is just remarkable for gamers who own Nvidia cards and having this piece of AI just makes gaming a lot more fun. AMD has a similar thing they call FidelityFX Super Resolution, which works in the same way, boosting image quality and framerates.

The new DLSS patch also applies to Red Dead Online, which happens to be coming at the same dates as the release of its newest update called Blood Money which is mostly about Bank robberies and high stakes involved in making dirty money.

Due to this new update, more players will be able to Red Dead Redemption 2 as its performance on more budget rigs has increased. And since the game features a pretty competitive online scene, you wouldn’t want to be the one that starts from scratch. So, to fix this, you have two options. Either you can get an RDR2 account that is already equipped with everything, or you can opt for boosting services to rank up your profile quickly.
