There’s a bit of good news for gamers looking to buy a Sony PS5 in Europe, as multiple sources indicate that stocks should be replenished across major EU retailers in the coming weeks. Ireland which hasn’t seen any new shipments since early December is also expected to get fresh stock later this week.
Update: PS5 Stock to be Released by 21st in the UK: 3 Million Units to be Shipped Globally Every Month
As per tracker, PS5 Stock Central, retailers are expecting stocks to arrive either by the 7th of Jan (tomorrow), or next week (12th and 14th of Jan). There’s no word on the number of units that will arrive with the latest batch, but it’s unlikely to be sufficient enough to fulfill all outstanding orders at stores like GameStop.
The United Kingdom is also supposed to get new stocks of Sony’s PS5 console, but they are likely going to be delayed on account of the National Lockdown and other Brexit restrictions. EE and BT are also expected to get new stocks either by tomorrow or by the same day next week. However, there’s no confirmation on the UK stocks as of now.
Sony expects to sell at least 14 million PS5 consoles this year, with just over 4 million sold globally since launch late last year:
