PowerColor Shows off the Radeon RX 6800 XT Red Devil

After much teasing, PowerColor today showed off its Radeon RX 6800 XT Red Devil graphics card, featuring an aesthetic design with plenty of (red) LED lighting and a bulky triple-fan heatsink.

Colorful is opting for a 14 phase VRM for its flagship, a step down from the reference PCB which comes with a 15 phase design for the graphics core and 2 phases for the memory.

In terms of I/O, you’re getting the same options as the reference card: 2x DP 2.0 and one HDMI 2.1, plus a USB Type-C for VR headsets.

True to tradition, the graphics card features a metal backplate with the Red-Devil logo and dual-BIOS options, one for silent operation and one with a factory-overclocked configuration.

We reviewed the Radeon RX 5700 XT Red Devil last year and found it to be one of the best (and the most expensive) AIB cards for Navi 10. While the cooling was much better than the reference card, the PCB and VRM were somewhat worse, featuring doublers and cheaper capacitors. It’ll be interesting to see how this one compares to the reference model.
