Portal RTX Requires a GeForce RTX 3080 for 1080p 60 FPS with DLSS 2 Enabled

Portal RTX will be one of the first titles to leverage path tracing for most visual effects, following in the footsteps of Quake RTX. This, of course, demands high-performance hardware, including the latest GPUs and CPUs. NVIDIA has rolled out the required specifications for Portal RTX, and they’re quite thrifty:

For 1080p 30 FPS, you’ll need a GeForce RTX 3060 and a Copre i7-6700 or a Ryzen 5 3600 alongside 16GB of DDR4 memory. The recommended specs for 1080p 60 FPS include the GeForce RTX 3080 and the Core i7-9700K alongside 16GB of DDR4 memory. On top of this, you’ll have to enable DLSS 2 for optimal performance. Moving up to 4K, nothing short of a GeForce RTX 4080 (with DLSS 3) is needed for appreciable performance alongside the Core i7-12700K or a Ryzen 9 5900 and 32GB DDR4 memory.
