Origin PC Upgrades the NS-15 Laptop to Zen 3: Up to a Ryzen 5 5950X and 64GB of Memory

Origin has upgraded it NS-15 laptop to AMD’s newly launched Ryzen 5000 CPUs, featuring up to a Ryzen 9 5950X (16C/32T) with a boost clock of 4.9GHz in a 15″ form factor. The NS-15 has a 15.6″ FHD display, with a refresh rate of 144Hz. You can configure the laptop with any of the Ryzen 5000 processors, as well as a discrete graphics card.

Strangely, options on the GPU side are still very limited. You can either opt for an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB or an RTX 2070 8GB. Hopefully, Origin will consider AMD’s Big Navi GPUs (their mobile versions) in the future to allow for more graphics grit.

The Ryzen 5 5950X comes with a base clock of 3.4GHz and a boost of up to 4.9GHz, same as the desktop variant. We’re not sure if Origin is limited the TDP to 65W using Eco-Mode or allowing the full TDP range of 95W.

With respect to memory, you can equip it with up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, along with two PCIe 4.0 based NVMe SSDs, with a maximum capacity of 6TB.
