NVIDIA’s RTX 4070 Ti is Selling More than the AMD RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT Combined

NVIDIA’s newly released GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards are selling better than we expected. The AD104-based GPU can be seen among the top-five bestsellers at pretty much every retailer. In fact, at Germany’s Mindfactory, the RTX 4070 Ti was the top-selling GPU last week, with 545 units sold.

The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti was more successful than the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT combined. The two RDNA 3 cards sold 300 and 200 units, respectively, 45 less than the RTX 4070 Ti when summed up. The GeForce RTX 3060 was the second most popular GPU, with 484 units sold, followed by the RX 6700 XT and the RTX 3060 Ti, with 400 and 300 parts sold, respectively.

The RTX 4070 Ti was among the top five across Newegg, Amazon, and Microcenter, well ahead of the Radeon RX 7900 XTX/7900 XT. The GeForce RTX 4090 holds the #1 spot at most stores, and the 4070 Ti comes in at #2 or #4.

The MSI Gaming X, with a price tag of $849, is the #4 bestselling GPU at Newegg. At Microcenter, the Zotac RTX 4979 Ti Trinity and the MSI RTX 4070 Ti Ventus hold the #2 and #3 spots, respectively. The former comes in at #4 at Amazon, selling at $799.

By the looks of it, you can say that the market has been starved of GPUs for so long that gamers will buy just about anything available.
