NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti vs. RTX 3060 Ti: 13 Games Tested at 1080p and 1440p, Raster and Ray Tracing

NVIDIA has launched nearly the entirety of its RTX 40 series family. Barring the RTX 4050s and the late-season Tis, the whole stack is now available. Unfortunately, the lower-end GPUs offer minimal gen-over-gen gains, often making the previous-gen look better. In this post, we’ll field the RTX 4060 Ti against the RTX 3060 Ti, analyzing the gains and features of the budget Ada Lovelace GPU.

NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti vs. RTX 3060 Ti: 1080p Gaming Benchmarks

At 1080p, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is mostly 10-15% faster than the RTX 3060 Ti, often maintaining similar lows. A Plague Tale: Requiem sees the former take a 16% lead, slightly higher than the average delta.

The delta drops to under 10% in Assassins Creed Valhalla, where the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 3060 Ti perform within 5 FPS of one another.

The performance delta between the RTX 4060 Ti and the 3060 Ti goes past 15% in Cyberpunk 2077 and Dying Light 2, reaching 20% in the latter.

F1 2022 is an outlier, where the RTX 3060 Ti ends up beating the RTX 4060 Ti by an appreciable margin.

Hogwarts Legacy loves the Ada Lovelace microarchitecture, conferring the RTX 4060 Ti with a gain of 20% over the RTX 3060 Ti.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider follows the same trend with a lead of 15% for the RTX 4060 Ti, while “The Callisto Protocol” barely distinguishes between the two Tis, leaving a delta of just under 5%.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands performs the same, leaving the RTX 4060 Ti with a lead of 15% on average. Unlike the rest of the titles, the lows here are substantially better on the RTX 40 series card.
