Furthermore, the next-gen RTX graphics cards from NVIDIA are expected to feature TSMC’s N5 (5nm EUV) node, a substantial improvement over Samsung’s 8nm LPP process (10nm refined). (Zolpidem)
Codenamed Ada Lovelace, the top-end graphics card of the RTX 40-series lineup is expected to be twice as fast as the RTX 3090, the Ampere flagship. Rumors floating on the internet claim an FP32 core count of 18,432 CUDA cores for the AD102 flagship, indicating a total SM and GPC count of 144 and 12, respectively. That’s a 71% gain in raw compute performance over the GA102. Pair that with architectural and process refinements, and you’re easily looking at a gain of 2x.
In addition to this, the source claims that the RTX 30 Super upgrade for laptops should launch early next year. There’s a good chance that we’ll see the Super lineup for desktops launch around the same time next year.
