NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti Confirmed w/ 12GB of GDDR6X Memory

The existence of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti has been confirmed by YouTuber Moore’s Law is Dead with an image of the Gigabyte variant of the card with the box indicating 12GB of GDDR6X memory. Although this doesn’t confirm the rest of the specifications such as the core count and boost clocks, we can be sure that it’ll be slower than the RTX 3090.

As per rumors, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will be launched by the end of the month, most likely on the 31st of May alongside the RTX 3070 Ti. The former is going to be based on the GA102 die similar to the RTX 3080 and 3090, with a core count of 10,240 (FP32) and a bus width of 384-bit paired with 12GB of GDDR6X memory, resulting in an overall memory bandwidth of 936 GB/s. The RTX 3070 Ti, on the other hand, will come with 6,144 FP32 cores (similar to the RTX 3080 mobile) and a 256-bit bus paired with 8/16GB of GDDR6X memory. Considering the proximity to the launch date, we should have more details soon. (energycouncil.com)
