NVIDIA RTX 3080 Runs Doom Eternal at 4K 120 FPS (Ultra): 50% Faster than the RTX 2080 Ti

NVIDIA just shared some footage of Doom Eternal running on a GeForce RTX 3080 at 4K ultra. The game achieves a rather impressive 120 FPS on average at UHD, roughly around 50% faster than the RTX 2080 Ti, the present fastest GPU. You can watch the video below:

Doom Eternal, like its predecessor utilizes Vulkan and is quite well optimized, with the game engine capable of shelling out up to 1000 FPS with the right hardware and ample graphics processing power. Keep in mind that this game doesn’t make use of ray-tracing or DLSS, and as such, this a test of pure raster performance.

From this, we can conclude that the RTX 3080 will be up to 50% faster than the RTX 2080 Ti in certain favored titles, with the average staying in the 35-40% range.
