The first third party gaming benchmark featuring the GeForce RTX 3070 has surfaced, giving us an idea of how it compares to the Turing flagship, the RTX 2080 Ti. In line with NVIDIA’s marketing, it appears that the 3070 is more or less on par with the Ti, with the former gaining a slight lead at lower resolutions.

As the RTX 3070 doesn’t feature the GDDR6X memory like its elder Ampere siblings, its bandwidth is lower than the RTX 2080 Ti and as such, it’s a tad bit slower at 4K.

Compared to the RTX 3080, you’re looking at a 20-25% deficit which is honestly what I expected. With the RTX 3080, you get an additional 25% performance for an extra $200. Not really an enticing deal but that how NVIDIA usually prices its flagships, especially when there’s no competition.
