NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti to Get Price Cuts and Make Way for the RTX 4060 Ti [Rumor]

The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is set to launch next week, replacing the popular RTX 3060 Ti. As reported the other day, the latter has allegedly ended its final production run, with retailers notified of the discontinuation. Another report from Fast Technology states that stores are looking to discount the RTX 3060 Ti to digest the high volume of GPUs in the channel inventory.

Before we proceed, it’s important to remember that this report concerns the Chinese market. However, if the past is anything to go by, we should see similar trends in the Western markets. The Asian retailers may cut the price of the RTX 3060 Ti by as much as 20%, from ~3,000 to 2,499 Yuan.

When writing, the RTX 3060 Ti is priced over its $399 MSRP on Newegg, the lowest being $429. We expect these GPUs to drop to $349 (at least) to combat the upcoming Radeon RX 7600 and the RTX 4060 Ti.

Considering the high volume of the 60-class GPUs, the RTX 4060 Ti should remain available across most retailers till the end of the year, making it an excellent option for midrange gaming builds.
