NVIDIA RTX 3060 Sold More in a Week than the AMD RX 6800/6900 Series Sold in 2 Months, Ft. Insane Pricing [eBay Data]

Although Ampere cards have been out of stock at nearly every retailer across the world, you can still find a handful of units over at eBay at massively inflated prices. For example, in Jan and Feb, over 100 units of the RTX 3080 were sold with the price starting from over $1,200 and reaching as high as $2,000+.

If we consider the newly launched RTX 3060, nearly 50 cards have been sold with the price hovering just below the $1,000 mark.

Moving up the ladder, we have the RTX 3060 Ti which sold over 100 units in January and February, with an average sales price of $750 to over $1,000 on eBay.

Interestingly, the RTX 3070 sold twice as many units in the same period in roughly the same price range, albeit with a higher upper limit. This lends credence to a recent report that board partners were prioritizing the 3070 over the 3060 Ti due to a higher profit margin.

Finally, we have AMD’s Big Navi graphics cards which are less appealing to miners but were still sold well over the $1,000 mark for the 6800 XT and $1,500 for the 6,900 XT.

Over the last three months, just 25 and 16 units of the RX 6800 XT and RX 6900 XT, respectively were sold on eBay. This is less than the sales figures of the RTX 3060 on eBay. It would be safe to say that this is the result of an extremely supply-constrained market which is even more severe for the Radeon RX 6000 series:
