NVIDIA RTX 30 Series to be Announced on 9th September

We finally have an announcement date for NVIDIA’s RTX 30 series graphics cards. As per GamersNexus, Jensen will officially announce the consumer Ampere cards including the RTX 3080, 3080 Ti and 3090/Titan on the 9th of September with a hard launch followed at the end of the month.

This in inline with what we had reported earlier with respect to the sampling of these graphics cards. The higher-end Ampere GPUs will be sampled later this month in the US, with other regions following suit in early September.

Keep in mind that this is just the announcement we’re talking about here. The actually launch may be delayed to October, with third-party cards arriving even further down the line.

As the Ampere parts are going to be based on Samsung’s 8nm process, there shouldn’t be any immediate shortages, hitches in the supply chain can mean a potential delay in the availability due to the pandemic. We’ll keep you posted if we hear anything else.
