NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super Production Stopped; RTX 30 Series “Ampere” to Launch in Late September

It appears that NVIDIA is quickly getting rid of all the Turing GPUs on the market. The RTX 2080 Ti and 2080 Super were already been discontinued a while back, and recent reports suggest that the RTX 2070 Super (one of the most popular RTX GPUs) has also gotten the same treatment. This means that after the present stocks run out, they won’t be replenished.

As such, you can expect the pricing for the 2070 Super to rise by a notch in the coming months. Demand for the more budget-oriented GPUs, namely the RTX 2060 and 1660 Super is still quite strong and NVIDIA will likely keep them around a little while longer.

On the downside, this means that the budget Ampere GPUs will be launching a little later. As per sources, the flagship RTX Titan, 3080 Ti, and 3080 will be landing in late September while the RTX 3070 and 3060 will launch in October and November, respectively. This is unlike NVIDIA’s previous launch scheme. Usually, the x80 and x70 GPUs would launch first along with the Titan. Then the x60 and x50 would come out. Finally, we’d see the x80 Ti, x50 Ti, and a potential x70 Ti at the end. However, as per reports, the RTX 3080 Ti and the Titan will both be based on the GA102 die, same as the RTX 3080. If that is indeed true, then this plan makes much more sense:
