NVIDIA has silently hiked the prices of some of the RTX 30 series graphics cards by up to 100 Euros in Europe. Taking advantage of the inflated market prices, Team Green has decided to eat a chunk of the scalper/retailer profits by raising the MSRPs of the Founders Edition cards (across the board). The GeForce RTX 3090 is now 100 Euro pricier, bringing its sticker price up to 1,649 Euros. The RTX 3080, on the other hand, has seen an increase of 70 Euros to 759 Euros. Likewise, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti has become more expensive by 70 Euros.
Launch MSRP | Hiked MSRP | % Increase | |
GeForce RTX 3090 | 1,549 euros | 1,649 euros | 6.4% |
GeForce RTX 3080 Ti | 1,199 euros | 1,269 euros | 5.8% |
GeForce RTX 3080 | 719 euros | 759 euros | 5.6% |
GeForce RTX 3070 Ti | 619 euros | 649 euros | 4.8% |
GeForce RTX 3070 | 519 euros | 549 euros | 5.8% |
GeForce RTX 3060 Ti | 419 euros | 439 euros | 4.7% |
The lower-end SKUs such as the RTX 3070, 3070 Ti, and the 3060 Ti have gotten milder price hikes, generally between 20 and 40 Euros, putting the average price increase at 5-6% per SKU. NVIDIA hasn’t given any reasons for the price increase yet, but considering the state of the market and the supply chain, it’ll likely boil down to component shortages and longer wait times.
