The deltas between the RTX 4070 and 4080 are even wider at 1440p. The latter is 1.9x and 2.2x faster than the former in Plague Tale with and without raytracing, respectively. Assassins’ Creed Valhalla (raster) and Crysis Remastered (RT) exhibit a performance gap of 40% between the 70 and 80 class Ada GPUs.

Cyberpunk 2077 is much more intensive on the RTX 4070 with raytracing compared to the RTX 4080. The latter is 75% faster at 1440p using the “Ray Tracing Ultra” quality preset. Using rasterization reduces the delta to under 60%. In Dying Light 2, the RTX 4080 is only 46% faster than the 4070 at 1440p Ultra.

In Ghostwire and Hitman 3, the RTX 4070 performs nearly the same as the RTX 4080. However, enabling RT increases the delta to 30% and 60%, respectively.

In the Callisto Protocol, the RTX 4080 is 30% and 60% faster than the RTX 4070 with and without raytracing. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands runs significantly faster on the RTX 4080 with a lead of 75% over the RTX 4070 at 1440p Ultra.
Things don’t change much for the RTX 3070 Ti at 1440p. The RTX 4070 is only about 10% faster in rasterization and up to 20% more in raytraced workloads.
