NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (-$65) and RTX 4070 Ti (-$50) Discounted After RTX 4070/Ti Super Launch

The GeForce RTX 4070 has dropped to $534, down from $599, while the 4070 Ti can be had for $749. AMD's Radeon RX 7800 XT remains at $500+

Following the launch of the GeForce RTX 4070 Super and the 4070 Ti Super, the RTX 4070 and the 4070 Ti have become cheaper. The GeForce RTX 4070 has dropped to $534, down from its launch price of $599, while the 4070 Ti can be had for $749 ($50 less than its MSRP). Meanwhile, the Radeon RX 7900 XT has dropped to $724, the result of a prolonged downward trend in pricing. Interestingly, the RX 7800 XT continues to sell over its $499 MSRP with unabated popularity among DIYers.

The XFX Merc 310 Radeon RX 7900 XT is the cheapest variant of the XT, with a price tag of $729 on Amazon. That’s close to $200 less than its launch price of $899. The launch of the RTX 4070 Ti Super has forced AMD to push its price down to nearly $700.

The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti has been discontinued, and as the last retail units are sold, it’ll become history. Amazon is selling its remaining stock of the Ti for $749, a $50 discount off its $799 launch price. The RTX 4070 Ti Super, despite offering a very marginal uplift in performance, is going over $800, with a few basic variants at $799.

The GeForce RTX 4070 will continue to retail alongside the Supers (at a reduced price), tackling the Radeon RX 7800 XT. Last I checked, the cheapest 4070 is from Zotac and Galax for $534. That’s $66 less than its former MSRP and the current starting price of the RTX 4070 Super.
