NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ether Hack Only Works w/ One Graphics Card

By now it’s been well established that the latest dev driver from NVIDIA removes the anti-mining block on the GeForce RTX 3060, but it turns out that this only works if you are using a single card. When you’ve got a system with multiple RTX 3060s mining Ether, only the primary GPU will offer its full-fledged performance (up to 50 MH/s) to miners, with the rest limited to half as much, or 25 MH/s:

Considering this rather large caveat, it seems that the new driver was intentional, rather than being a blunder, as it allows small-scale miners or RTX 3060-owners to miner Ether while limiting large-scale farms and industrial miners from taking undue advantage of the card’s mining capabilities. We’ll update this post as we hear more on this.
