MSI Announces All-AMD Ryzen|Radeon Laptops w/ Ryzen 5000 APUs and RX 6000M GPUs

MSI has announced three new “AMD Advantage Edition” laptops powered by Ryzen 5000 processors and Radeon RX 6000M GPUs. These are the updated versions of the MSI Alpha 15, 17, and Delta 15. These notebooks were till now available with the older Renoir APUs and the Radeon RX 5600M GPU in limited numbers. The new lineup should be offered in more regions, and in better quantities.

As with all all-AMD laptops, the MSI Alpha/Delta SKUs will support SmartShift, Smart Memory Access, or rBAR. Radeon Anti-Lag and FreeSync for tear-free high frame-rate gaming. The Alpha 15 (as the name suggests) is a 15″ notebook with a 1080p IPS display, up to 64GB of DDR4 memory (3200 MT/s), a Radeon RX 6600M, 2x PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs, 2x USB 3.2 ports, 1x USB-C port and a USB 2.0 port.

The only difference between the Alpha 15 and 17 is with respect to the screen size. The former is 23.95 mm thick with a weight of 2.35 kg, and the latter weighs 2.55 kg with a thickness of 24.2 mm. The MSI Delta 15 has a single 15″ variant with a faster 240 Hz display, and a Radeon RX 6700M, and a thickness of 19 mm, and a weight of 1.9 kg. The rest of the internals are identical to the Alpha range.
