Motorola’s new Flagship Features LPDDR5 RAM Fabbed by Micron

We’re about to see the first device with DDR5 memory, more specifically LPDDR5 in the form of Motorola’s Edge+ smartphone. The Edge+ is 5G compatible and was designed in close collaboration with Micron. The smartphone features a massive 12GB of LPDDR5 memory as well as super-fast storage. Together with 5G speeds, this will make it an ideal device for cloud gaming and streaming.

Our collaboration with Motorola on its flagship smartphone highlights the importance that mobile device manufacturers are placing on next-generation memory solutions that provide higher performance and richer consumer experiences. This announcement underscores how the mobile industry is coalescing behind Micron’s LPDDR5 for 5G flagship smartphone designs.
