Miner Installs NVIDIA RTX 3080 Farm on BMW i8, Worth $147,500

Simon Byrne, the guy who earlier showed off a mining farm composed of 78 GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards, capable of generating a profit of $128,088 per year is back with another doozie. This time around he has purchased the BMW i8 hybrid which costs nearly $150K and stuffed a small mining farm in its trunk.

The BMW i8 hybrid is an electric vehicle, capable of accelerating to 100 km/hr in 4.4 seconds. The car is of German design, with two extendable front seats and a rather large trunk. Here’s where Simon has set up a small mining farm using the same PNY GeForce RTX 3080s.

This mining system was powered by an ASUS B250 Mining Expert board and an EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 T2 power supply. Simon says that this is an excellent way for him to earn money even while traveling, although he won’t be making anywhere as much as with his 78-card farm. Form over function I guess.
