After the launch of the Renoir powered RedmiBooks, Xiaomi has gone ahead and followed it up with the Intel-based Mi Notebook 14 lineup. There are two main variants, namely the Mi Notebook 14 and the Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition. While the former comes with the Core i5-10210U, the latter also gives you the option to opt for the Core i7-10510U. Both are quad-core chips though and the main difference is in terms of the operating clocks.

Other than the beefier processor, the Horizon Edition also comes with a larger NVMe based SSD and a GeForce MX350 for an additional $175, bringing the pre-order price to $725. The Standard Edition costing $550 comes with a 256GB SATA III SSD and the basic integrated graphics in the form of the UHD Graphics 620. The latter is upgradable to a discrete graphics option (MX350) and a higher-capacity SATA based SSD for $40, each, bringing the cost of the notebook to $630 (pre-order).


The Core i5-10201U operates at a base clock of 1.6GHz and a boost of 4.2GHz while the 10510U runs at a base and boost of 1.8GHz and 4.9GHz, respectively. Both chips have a TDP of 15W (PL1). Xiaomi promises a battery life of 10 hours, with the quick charge ability allowing you to charge it up to 50% in just 30 minutes.

Both models come with a 14″ 1080p IPS display with a viewing angle of 178 degrees. In case you were wondering, both models come with 8GB of DDR4-2666 memory.
The GeForce MX350 is paired with 2GB of GDDR5 memory with a base and boost of 1354MHz and 1468MHz, respectively. In terms of wireless connectivity, you get Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi 802.ac (2×2). For I/O, there are two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, one Type-C, and one USB 2.0. There’s also a headphone/mic jack to complement the Webcam and an HDMI 1.4 port fort connecting external displays.
